Under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, employers are responsible for the fire safety of their premises. Within this Act there is a requirement of employers to ensure all staff are trained in the use of fire fighting equipment and fire evacuation procedures.

All staff should receive induction and regular training relating to the action(s) to be taken in the event of fire, in particular evacuation procedures, fire extinguisher training, where appropriate, Fire Warden training and any specialist duties required e.g. calling the Fire Brigade, assisting disabled persons to safety etc.

At Highland Fire Training we provide courses designed to provide a basic level of competency using fire fighting equipment as required by The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005.

We are able to offer an unrivalled level of service due to the depth of knowledge and practical experience our instructors possess. Along with a friendly and helpful approach to teaching, this creates a very positive environment within which participants are able to learn important skills and enjoy the experience.

Courses can be held at your own premises depending on the suitability and number of participants or at a venue arranged by Highland Fire Training.

We provide a number of courses which can be tailored to the needs of your staff.  The cost of our courses begin at £20 per person.
